Employee Spotlight – Brittany Hannah

Meet Brittany Hannah! You may have recently seen Brittany’s smiling face at our new UCA Women’s Center at the front desk. While the Women’s Center may be new, Brittany has been with the UCA family for five years! We love having her on board. Next time you come in for a visit, be sure to tell her hello!

Q: Where are you from?

A: I’m originally from Fayette, or as we call it “Fet” AL.

Where did you attend school, high school and beyond?

A: I went to college at UNA. “Go Lions!”

Q: What is your favorite thing about working at UCA?

A: My coworkers really make working here a joy! We laugh together; we cry together; we prank each other –  Just lots of good times here. I’ve made some really good friends. I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to work with.

Q: What advice might you give to a patient that’s nervous about his or her appointment?

A: My advice to a nervous patient would be “It’s ok to be nervous. You made the first step by coming into your appointment. You’re in good hands here at UCA.”

Q: How do you think your best friend would describe you as a person?

A: My best friend would probably describe me as being goofy, very understanding, a good listener, laid back, and “cool as a cucumber.”

Q: What is your favorite weekend activity?

A: My favorite weekend activity is going out with friends/family to different restaurants, food trucks, breweries, and bars to try local eats, craft beers and craft cocktails.  Some of my favorite places to go are Paramount, Cantina Food Truck, Collins, and Cahaba Brewery.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in the Birmingham area?

A: My all-time favorite restaurant here would be Saw’s Soul Kitchen in Avondale. It’s a tiny hole-in-the-wall restaurant, and the food is ALWAYS AMAZING. My go-to meal is pork and greens.

Q: If you could create your dream concert, what would the line up be?

A: My dream concert line up would be Drake, Future and Beyonce.

Q: Pick a color that describes your personality, and tell us why.

A: The color that best describes my personality I think would be soft pink. It’s not too loud. It’s chill but still cute and fun.

Q: If a movie was being produced about your life, what famous actor or actress would play your character?

A: I think Sanna Lathan would be the best actress to play my character. We kind of look alike. Maybe. Just a little.

Q: What song do you karaoke to when you’re alone in your vehicle?

A: Right now I karaoke to “No Tears Left to Cry” by Ariana Grande. The song is basically about just living life to the fullest, no hatred, good vibes only and no crying. It really just motivates me every day when I jam to it in my car.

Q: Who you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up and why?

A: As a kid, I wanted to be a lawyer when I grew up… Probably because I watched A TON of crime shows and movies.

Q: If you were stranded on an island and you could only take one object, what would it be?

A: Hmm, one object to take stranded on an island? First question, am I alone on this island? And can the object be human? I’d have to be stranded with another person so I wouldn’t be so bored.

Q: If you had to pick a theme song that played every time you walked into a room, what would it be?

A: My theme song currently would have to be “Good to Be Alive Right About Now” by Andy Grammer.

Q: If you had to be an animal, what would you choose?

A: If I could be an animal, I would want to be a dolphin. I absolutely love dolphins. They’re super cute, free in the ocean, and so much fun.

Q: If you could trade places with any person in the word for a day, who would it be? This can be a celebrity, historical figure, fictional character, etc.

A: I would definitely trade places with Edward from the Twilight Saga, because he can read people’s minds, he’s a vampire, and the simple fact that he doesn’t age –  super cool. I’ve always wanted to hear others’ thoughts. The human mind is very interesting to me.
